Before you get into your spa this season, make sure it’s hygienic, clean and sparkling from the inside out! BioGuard recommends this simple 3-step spa clean every 4-6 weeks.
Clean your cleaner! Your filter is responsible for cleaning your spa by filtering out dirt, oils and wastes from the water. If your filter isn’t clean, you don’t have much hope of keeping your water clean! To ensure your filter is working at its peak efficiency, a monthly routine deep clean with BioGuard Spa Filter Renew® is essential.
- Remove your filter and rise with a garden hose.
- Spray Filter Renew directly onto the filter and allow to soak for 15 minutes. (Light brushing may be required for heavy oil, dirt or scale accumulation).
- Rinse the filter with a garden hose.
- Return the filter and resume normal operation.
Clean from the inside out! You’ve heard “it’s what on the inside that counts” and a spa is no different! Over time, your spa’s pipes and plumbing can become clogged with a build-up of scale deposits and other wastes. To flush these out and keep your pipes clear and clean, treat your spa with BioGuard Spa Swirl Away®.
SPA BATHS:
WARNING: Do NOT open air controls while cleaning with Swirl Away.
- Shake the bottle well before using.
- Pour 150mL of Swirl Away into spa bath filled with warm water.
- Turn pump/timer on for 15 minutes.
- Drain the spa bath and rinse with clean water.
SPAS AND HOT TUBS:
WARNING: Do NOT open air controls while cleaning with Swirl Away.
- Shake the bottle well before using.
- Pour 250mL of Swirl Away into spa or hot tub before draining.
- Turn pump on a high speed for 1 hour with air controls closed.
- Drain the spa/hot tub and resume normal maintenance procedures.
Sparkling surface! To finish the whole thing off, give your spa a spray with BioGuard Spa Squeaky Clean™. Squeaky Clean removes scale, fresh stains, grease and dirt from the water line in your spa, to keep your surface clean and bright.
- Spray Squeaky Clean onto a damp sponge, and scrub along the water line of your spa.
- Rinse the treated surface thoroughly.
- To remove heavy stains, allow Squeaky Clean to soak into stain for 5 – 10 minutes before scrubbing and rinsing.
